Colts running back Joseph Addai missed practice Saturday and he is listed as doubtful for the team’s Monday night game against Houston. Addai has not practiced since suffering a nerve injury in his left shoulder on Oct. 17.
When he has remained healthy, Addai has maintained solid production. Addai has 406 yards rushing on 93 carries for a 4.4 average and three touchdowns.
It seems that Donald Brown will be the benefactor of Addai’s absence. Brown went through full workouts on Saturday and it seems he is starting to recover from a lingering hamstring injury. Brown is listed as questionable but he is expected to start.
Brown, 23, has not played in the last three games for the Colts. He received 16 carries for 69 yards and one touchdown against the Giants in Week 2. The Texans are 13th in the league against the run, allowing 104.3 yards-per-game.
Receivers Reggie Wayne (hamstring), Pierre Garcon (hamstring), and Anthony Gonzalez (ankle) are also all questionable for Monday’s game. Wayne practiced fully for the first time this week on Saturday, while Garcon and Gonzalez has participated all week. Any of the receivers could be a big play for fantasy owners with the Texans ranking dead last in league against the pass, giving up 306.2 yards-per-game.
